1 September 2020 saw the launch of the 3-year "Inno4Graph" project, funded by the European Union and coordinated by EDF. The aim of this programme, which involves a European industrial consortium (including the companies responsible for decommissioning Graphite reactors in Europe), is to define optimised solutions (in terms of cost and technology) for decommissioning Graphite reactors. The programme involves testing remotely operated tools and deploying new digital methods to define the most appropriate dismantling scenarios for each type of Graphite reactor in Europe. As a member of the consortium, Graphitech is actively participating in this programme, which is at the heart of its development strategy in terms of research and innovation.
